Replace your filter

CUBE filter

The CUBE is equipped with an active carbon filter and a hollow fibre filter. Both filters together ensure a better water quality because they filter bacteria, chloride, chemicals and pesticides from the water. For hygienic reasons, the filters should be replaced every 12 months, regardless of the amount of water used.

Replace filter

When the tank starts to beep, it is time for new filters. The CUBE can be snoozed for 72 hours. Press the red blinking button below the slide on top of the CUBE. After replacing the filter, press this button for 6 seconds. The CUBE will beep again after 12 months.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order your new filter cartridges in our webshop.

Step 2: Unscrew the old CUBE cartridges (counter clockwise).

Step 3: Screw in the new CUBE cartridges firmly until it cannot be tightened any further (clockwise).

Step 4: Place the cartridge holder back in the CUBE. Press firmly here until you hear a ‘click’.

You can find more information about this filter in the datasheet below.

Cold water filter cartridge

Activated-carbon filter for use with the Cold Water Filter or Quooker Water Switch which ensures the water tastes and smells better. The cartridge has a lifespan of 12 months.

Replace cartridge

The alarm will beep and the LED will flash when the user dispenses filtered water after 12 months of use, indicating it’s time to replace the cartridge. (Some older models have a 6 month timer, which can be reset to 12 months). The Cold Water Filter can be snoozed for 7 days by pressing the red button on top of the cartridge holder. After replacing the cartridge, press and hold the red button until the double-beep to reset timer. The Cold Water Filter will beep again in 12 months.

Scale Control Plus

The Scale Control Plus has been developed to lengthen the lifespan of your Quooker by reducing the water hardness.

Replace cartridge

When installed with a Scale Control Meter: when alarm sounds , 0% blinks. Snooze the alarm for 72 hours by pressing the wheel on the Scale Control Plus Meter. When installed without a Scale Control Meter: when a certain amount of water has passed through the Scale Control Plus, the cartridge needs to be replaced.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order your new filter cartridge in our webshop.

Step 2: Press the on/off switch at the top of the tank. Dispense boiling and cold water together in order to release the pressure from the system and then close it when the water runs cold. Turn off the main water supply or stopcock. In an inlet combination is present, also close it.

Step 3: Unscrew the old cartridge (counter clockwise).

Step 4: Screw in the new cartridge (clockwise).

Step 5: Turn on the main water supply or stopcock and, when needed, the inlet combination. Ventilate the system by opening the boiling water tap. Flush the system with 20 litres of water until the water runs clear. Turn on the tank.

Step 6: When installed with a Scale Control Meter, turn on the meter by pressing the wheel once. Turn the wheel to ‘reset’ and press the wheel to confirm.

Scale Control R

The Scale Control R reduces the hardness of the water in order to prevent limescale build-up in the tank. This extends its lifespan and improves the taste of the water.

Replace cartridge

The cartridge must be replaced before it becomes completely saturated. The ‘Q’ on the top of the tank is the on/off switch. When installed with a Meter: If it is not possible to replace the cartridge when the alarm sounds, you can temporarily snooze it (for 72 hours) by pressing the wheel on the Scale Control R Meter.

Replacement instructions

Step 1: Order a new cartridge via our webshop

Step 2: Switch off the tank. Activate the boiling water tap (push-push-turn) and let the water run until it is cold. Also run the cold water tap at the same time. Stop the tap when it is completely cold. Close the isolation valve (PRO3 B) or the isolation valve on the inlet combination valve (PRO3 E/PRO7 E/COMBI E).

Step 3: Detach the saturated cartridge by unscrewing it out of the head and replace it with a new one.

Step 4: Open the isolation valve (PRO3 B) or the isolation valve of the inlet combination valve (PRO3 E/PRO7 E/COMBI E). Ventilate the system by activating the
boiling water tap and run for 20 seconds. Check for leaks. Now activate the boiling function again and let the water run for about 5 minutes, until the water runs clear. Switch on the tank using the Q button. Once the water has heated up again, the Quooker system is ready to use.

Step 5: When installed with a Scale Control R Meter: resetting the Meter. Wake-up the Meter by pressing the wheel once. Turn the wheel to ‘reset’ and press the wheel to confirm. The screen will go blank after a short while, it does this to conserve power.
